Our History

• Founded in 1959 by four Irish Immigrants
• A mandate was developed that steered the objective of the Club so to ensure the continuation of the Irish culture
• The small Club soon became the contact for the majority of the Irish immigrants, and late descendants, arriving in the City of Sudbury. It created a second family for those that were far away from home
• Over the years the Irish Heritage Club has committed to several worthy causes: Sponsored the Isles of Innisfree a non-profit housing complex, and raising awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation
• With the original mandate in mind, the Club has continued to grow and enable people of all nationalities to enjoy the many elements of the Irish culture
