The Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury

The Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury was founded in 1959 by four Irish Immigrants (see Our History) and was originally named The Shamrock Club. The primary mandate of the Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury is to unite Irish immigrants, those of Irish decent and those whom enjoy the details of the Irish culture together so to ensure the continuance of the Irish culture in Sudbury. We have grown to a Club that has a culturally diverse membership whom all share in the enjoyment of Irish music, dance and social ethos.

Each and every year, our Club hosts several events that allow the membership to socialize with one another and enjoy the various facets of Irish culture. At many of our events, we enjoy delicious food and even better entertainment.

The Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury has also embraced a cause that is very dear to our hearts; Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness. Our Club has been a leader in the Greater Sudbury area in bringing awareness to the need for organ and tissue donation. For more than 10 years, we have hosted a Walk, with the sole purpose of raising awareness. We are proud to state that the efforts of the Club have had a very positive impact on the number of donors in the Greater Sudbury area.
